Centralized Monitoring System Software Platform

Monitoring system software platform

Geotechnical projects generate data from dozens—sometimes hundreds—of sensors. Piezometers, inclinometers, strain gauges: each sends readings at its own interval. A monitoring system software platform brings that data together, letting you spot trends before they become problems. Kingmach builds these platforms for mid-sized projects where budgets are tight but reliability can't be compromised. The software pulls in data from most standard geotechnical instruments, displays it on customizable dashboards, and sends alerts when thresholds are breached. You don't need a dedicated IT team to set it up—it runs on standard servers or cloud instances. For teams managing tunnels, slopes, or excavations, this means less time chasing data files and more time understanding ground behavior.

Technical Detail

Configured around process stability, mold life, and long-term uptime.

Kingmach's monitoring system software platform is designed for field engineers who need a straightforward tool to manage sensor networks. The platform supports common data loggers and third-party instruments—including vibrating wire, MEMS, and optical sensors—so you can keep using existing hardware. Data visualization is modular: arrange charts, tables, and site maps to match your reporting workflow. Automated calculations (such as converting raw readings to engineering units) reduce manual errors. Alarms can be configured per sensor or group, with notifications via email or SMS. For projects that span multiple sites, the platform offers hierarchical access so contractors and consultants only see relevant data. Kingmach provides customization for unusual sensor types or reporting formats. This often means adding a new parser or a custom PDF template—changes that are handled in days rather than weeks. The platform also keeps a log of all configuration changes, which is useful during compliance audits. Typical applications include deep excavation monitoring, dam safety, and landslide early warning. With Kingmach's global support network, getting started usually involves a few remote sessions to configure data sources and user accounts.

FAQ

Common technical questions

What data formats can the software import? We use older loggers that output CSV.

The platform accepts CSV, Excel, and direct connections via Modbus or API. If your logger outputs plain text, we can usually add a parser within a few days.

Can we host the software on our own server instead of the cloud?

Yes. Many clients install it on local Windows or Linux servers. No internet? That's fine—it works entirely offline if needed.

How does the alarm system handle communication failures? We don't want false alerts.

You can set a timeout period per sensor. If data stops arriving, the system waits that period before flagging a communication loss, separately from measurement alarms.

We need to share dashboards with a client who shouldn't see all sensor data. Is that possible?

Absolutely. User roles let you hide specific sensors or dashboards. You can create a view that only shows the subset the client cares about.
